Year 5 - Mrs Taylor at Loxley Primary School

Year 5 - Mrs Taylor

There will be lots of exciting learning taking place in Y5 across a range of subjects.

Our main topic, in Geogrpahy, is to investigate about why water is so important. To help achieve this, we will focus some learning across the globe to compare our water sources with those from a different country.

In Science we will be learning about materials and their properties, this will involve lots of predicting and testing to ensure we get the correct answers.

During Literacy we will delve into the pages of Michael Morpurgo's 'The Butterfly Lion'. As well as this, we will be retelling a story linked to Robin Hood and performing some rap poetry!

One subject that I am particularly looking forward to is Art/DT as we will be using tie dye to pattern bags and put our sewing skills to the test to decorate them.

These are just a few of the exciting things we have got to look forward to this half term in Y5.

Why not take a look at our communication sheet to find out everything in a little bit more detail!
