At Loxley we believe that school visits are a fantastic way of showing the children that learning doesn't just happen in the classroom. The feedback from the children is always positive and the stimulus promotes rich learning in the classroom.
The trips, especially the residentials, also promote independence and social skills. The outline below shows how we develop learning through the educational visits and help parents to budget for contributions.
Financial contributions are vital in enabling us to continue to run the visits because the school budget cannot cover them. We are mindful of keeping costs to a minimum. As a rough guide, a day trip works out at about £12 per pupil and the approximate residential costs are listed.
The visits in the table below are only an outline plan as other exciting opportunities often arise mid-year. Where visit details have been omitted, the staff are working to secure the bookings and we want to avoid disappointment if the visit isn't feasible.
